All satellite installations depend on you having a clear line of sight to the satellite in space. Any obstacles between you and the satellite will either reduce or block your signal.
In the UK the FREESAT and SKY signals are transmitted from the Astra satellite. For a satellite dish installation in Bracknell it will need to point to the south-east. If you’ve got a compass handy the actual bearing is 146.4°. The dish will also point slightly into the air at an angle of 25°. You can get a quick idea of whether or not you’ll be able to get a signal by simply looking in that direction. Think about where we might bolt a satellite dish on the side of the house and then check to see if there’s anything in the way such as a building or hill.
As part of our service will always come out to do a free on-site test before you commit to any satellite installation. This way we can be totally sure that when we install the satellite dish it will be able to pick up the FREESAT signal to give you good quality, reliable TV reception.
If you’d like us to come out and do a site survey or you just want to know more about the equipment and FREESAT or SKY services then give us a call and we’ll be happy to chat with you.
